Suzanne started her yoga journey in 2001 after suffering from injuries as a professional dancer. Yoga allowed her body to rebuild strength and regain balance. After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2010, Suzanne realized that teaching yoga to help others was her path has been leading yoga classes since then. After receiving her 200 hours as a Baptiste inspired power yoga teacher, Suzanne branched out into other teachings such as Hot, Tone, Barre, Prenatal, Baby and me, Toddler yoga, and Kids yoga. While working as a Doula and working with many students of all ages with different ailments, physically and mentally, Suzanne fell upon Yoga Therapy. There she learned more about meditation, pranayama, and a mindful practice incorporating Restorative, Yin yoga, and Yoga Nidra. Suzanne leads her classes with an intention of safety, mindfulness and breath work. Yoga asana should de-stress the body and mind, not add to the chatter of our everyday and busy lives. RESTORATIVE YOGA WITH YOGA NIDRA MEDITATION Yoga Class
Restorative yoga incorporates gentle movement and breath work to restore the physical and mental body. This class will consist of 5-6 poses that will be held to allow the body to open and receive what it has been craving. You will feel completely supported in each position and modifications can always be made to accommodate every student. Each class will finish with Yoga Nidra Meditation to complete our practice deeper into the mind and subconscious. Feel rejuvenated and clear as you restore your body, mind, and inner self.
