Denise’s work focuses on her commitment to and support of mature adults. Her program, The Art of Mindful Aging, helps people over 50 give voice to their fears of aging. She guides them toward establishing a deeper bond with their aging bodies. The goal at GreyingGoddess is to cultivate a mindful and creative approach to aging on their terms.
Denise was exposed to yoga as a young girl and in 1999 earned her Yoga Teacher Certification. She taught Gentle Yoga for ten years, along with workshops focusing on the benefits of yoga for the maturing woman. She is featured in the book Yoga and the Wisdom of Menopause. Her involvement with yoga led to the spiritual practices that she continues to apply today. At 65 years young, Denise knows that a regular spiritual practice supports aging mindfully and moves the attention from the ego to the soul.
Expanding her yoga knowledge, Denise traveled to India in 2003 to complete her Tantra Teacher Training and Certification. Her belief that a thriving sexuality continues to be vital to our health and well being as we age, is explored in The Art of Mindful Aging program.
Prior to founding GreyingGoddess, Denise owned ColorStyleStudio, a company dedicated to styling women over 50. It was listening to her clients’ fears of aging, and a dread of losing their footing in a youth-obsessed culture, that inspired the birth of GreyingGoddess. GreyingGoddess serves women at their core, so they can age with honor, respect and awe.

The Art of Mindful Aging course is dedicated and devoted to aging adults who want to understand more about their aging process. During the course, we will discover how you can have a deeper connection with your body as you age by learning to listen to your body; along with identifying what you have gained through your years of working and life experience, which equates to value and wisdom. This program also addresses how relationship needs can change as we age, along with sexuality shifts that can happen as we age. The final class explores the benefits of spirituality as a powerful tool for aging mindfully.
